Up to date TRAILER


Films Cool feedback session

In this session we watch each others trailers and did helpful tick sheets on the level of work we thought they deserved. Also Hugh Spurling, spoke about each of our trailers giving feedback on what was good and also what could be improve to make it better.

Filming day 6

We decided that something was missing in the classroom scenes to make it ovbious they are in detention. So 2 lines were added for Kevin and Johnny. 'But were in detention we cant just go when he's not in the room' and 'whats he gona do kill us?'. Johnny's line shows that he's the joker but also gives a lot of irony to the scene in hindsight, as thats exactly whats he's going to do.

This was our edited version we showed at films cool for it to be evaluated and get feedback on so we could change it and clean it up.

Title typography for trailer



Using after effects to create the title meant that I could time when the title faded in from the black back ground and when the blood was to splatter in. Using the 'Mask' tool to hide the blood until 'shortcuts' got the right size then unmasking and revealing the blood across the writing.

New shots

There we certain shot we wanted to included in our trailer only realising that we wante these shots once we was at the locations we has set nto film excisting shots. This was because being at thye locations gave us inspiration and also when filming scenes and shots made us think if we needed other shots or scenes to make this once work or if it needed following up. For example the the tracking shot of Jessica running though the woods was not originaly on our storyboard, however when down in the void we decided it would be a effective shot to have as well as a good 'filler' shot.

Title readjustments...

The colouring we changed from black to white to be seen in the poster and stand out. As when it was black was hidden by the blackness of the image behind.

We made a Facebook page for our trailer to gain interest for our trailer and mainly to get feedback on our posters and magazine as well as our trailer itself.
